The internet has been dreaming about seeing Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock together ever since both of them admitted that they had a crush on the other. They starred together in two films- Speed (1994) and The Lake House (2006) and have been friends for a long time.
Sandra Bullock even admitted in an interview that she had wondered if both of them would have made a good couple, later stating that she wasn’t sure if she could hate Reeves even if they broke up. All because of how good of a human being he is. But will Bullock be happy to know that she isn’t his favorite co-star?
Sandra Bullock’s Ardent Admiration Of Keanu Reeves
In an interview with Esquire, Sandra Bullock admitted that even though she and Keanu Reeves never dated, it’s something she did think about. The Bird Box star stated:
“Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated. I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him. So maybe we could have survived. I don’t know.”
However, she was glad that the two of them didn’t have to survive through a relationship. Instead, she was happy that both of them got to be friends and work together. Bullock stated:
“We didn’t have to survive anything. We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for dinner and try to work together. And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being. Would I have been able to say that if he had dumped me and made me angry? Probably not.”
But even her kind words weren’t enough for Reeves to call her his best co-star. That title went to someone else, who he had done three films with.
Keanu Reeves Rejected Sandra Bullock As His Favorite Co-Star
At the premiere of DC’s League of Super-Pets, Entertainment Tonight asked Keanu Reeves who was the star he would love to team up with again and again. He took a couple of seconds to answer, but when he did answer, it surprised everyone. It wasn’t Sandra Bullock and neither was it Winona Ryder, who he has worked with on 4 films- A Scanner Darkly, Destination Wedding, The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee, and Dracula.
Reeves said the name of Alex Winter. The two shared screen space in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989) and then again in Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey (1991). Thankfully, their time travel adventures didn’t end there. The duo reunited for Bill & Ted Face the Music. Will the two star together in a fourth film as Bill and Ted? That remains to be seen.
