Rachel Brosnahan Has a Wonderful Cinematic Journey
Rachel Brosnahan has walked the road of a wonderful cinematic journey. Mostly known for her TV roles, the actor has some wonderful movie titles under her belt as well. Brosnahan’s movie titles include Beautiful Creatures, The Finest Hours, Louder Than Bombs, I’m Your Woman, The Courier, and the most recent Walter Hill-directed 2022 Western action movie Dead for a Dollar.
However, Brosnahan is far more famous for her titular role Miriam Maisel in the Prime Video hit period/comedy-drama, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The series which extended to its fifth season with 43 episodes, made the actor rise to her fame. The 32-year-old bagged an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her role in the Prime Video series.
Brosnahan also made her appearance in the hit American political thriller, House of Cards. She also appeared in NBC’s crime action thriller The Blacklist, WGN America’s acclaimed drama series Manhattan, and in the horror anthology series, 50 States of Fright.
Since her debut in the 2009 horror The Unborn, the actor has shaped the evolutionary road of her cinematic journey. She is already remarkably popular, thanks to her The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel role. Now, Brosnahan playing a talented journalist and Superman’s love interest would be a wonderful addition to her resume.
Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane in Superman: Legacy
After a few vigorous, extensive, and lengthy screen tests James Gunn finally got the cast of his movie. However, before finalizing, the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star was already in the hype as she was rumored to be the next Lane. But the actor was very enthusiastic about the character and responded to the rumor candidly.
“It would be extraordinary. I grew up watching Lois Lane, this incredibly talented journalist who is far from a damsel in distress. I would jump at the chance if it arose,” Brosnahan told The View.
Most recently, the actor posted a screengrab of The Hollywood Reporter on her official Instagram, confirming the new faces of Superman: Legacy with an emoji-filled caption to show her excitement about taking over the DC role.
Lois Lane was played by several actors in history. Most remarkably, Margot Kidder, Kate Bosworth, and most recently, Amy Adams in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. Other than that, Noel Neill, Phyllis Coates, Teri Hatcher, Erica Durance, and Elizabeth Tulloch also played the Daily Planet reporter on TV.
