DC’s Geoff Johns Steps Down To Pursue New Projects

The end of an era has come at DC Entertainment. Longtime Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns is stepping down, but has inked a deal with parent-company Warner Brothers that will allow him to pursue other projects in film, comics and television.

Johns is still executive producing and writing the screenplay for Green Lantern Corps, which will focus on partners Hal Jordan and John Stewart; he also is curating a pop up imprint at DC Comics titled the Killing Zone and is set to write a Shazam series later this year.

Johns’ position as CCO will be filled by fellow DC mainstay Jim Lee.
