DC Universe’s ‘Young Justice Outsiders’ Gets A Release Date

The highly anticipated third season of the DC animated series Young Justice has a release date.

Twitter user DanielRPK has revealed when fans can expect the third season of Young Justice to debut on the DC Universe streaming service. The third season of the popular animated series will debut on December 28th which is a week after the season finale of Titans premieres on December 21st. RPK was also able to confirm that Titans will be 11 episodes instead of the previously reported 12.  It was originally announced that the series was pushed back to an early 2019 release date with it specifically debuting on January 4th.

Young Justice: Outsiders will feature the return of the fan favorite animated series with a huge cast of DC’s most iconic young superheroes – plus brand-new characters, many of whom are just discovering their unique meta-human powers and special abilities. Set against the backdrop of a rich, deep world that touches all corners of the DC universe, the season focuses on meta–trafficking, and an intergalactic arms race for control of these super–powered youths. The series also sees the return of producers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti who developed the last two seasons of the series which had been previously cancelled in 2013 by Cartoon Network. It was previously announced at New York City Comic Con that there would be 3 new episodes would be premiering every week for the series.

Young Justice: Outsiders is one of five television series that have been developed as exclusive original shows for the DC Universe digital streaming platform. The others are Swamp Thing, Titans, Doom Patrol, and Harley Quinn.
