“Cover yourself up girl”: Not Just Sandra Bullock, Ben Affleck Had A Terrible Time Kissing Marvel Actress Liv Tyler In His $553M Movie For A Far More Personal Reason

Argo (2012) star Ben Affleck had a hard time kissing female co-stars during the initial phases of his career. Rising to fame with 1997’s Good Will Hunting, Affleck got famous for his bad breath, as per a report from The Guardian. His Forces of Nature (1999) co-star Sandra Bullock even gave him a pack of mints so she could make their kiss bearable.

But, just a year prior to Forces of Nature, Affleck had trouble kissing co-star Liv Tyler (The Incredible Hulk) in the sci-fi film – Armageddon. We found out about this in one of Tyler’s old Q&As from the publication named – Cinema, wherein she was asked to address why Affleck kissing her was awkward for him.

Tyler explained that Affleck’s personal reason was that he considered her as his little sister. He walked around on the sets of the $553 million film and looked out for her making her feel at ease since she was new in the film industry too. Tyler made her debut with Silent Fall in 1994.

Ben Affleck Treated Liv Tyler Like His Little Sister

The reason Affleck felt uncomfortable kissing Liv Tyler was that they had known each other for quite a long time before starting their Hollywood careers. The actress mentioned that they knew about each other’s personal lives as well.

“It was really a nice treat to have Ben play that part because I had known him before this movie. He did treat me like a little sister.” (via Cinema)

Tyler laughed it off as she thought that her kiss with Ben Affleck wasn’t that big of a deal; she continued, “What hot scenes? Okay, we did kiss, hug, and eat animal crackers.”

Ben Affleck Even Told Liv Tyler To Cover Herself

Having a close friendship like that, Tyler revealed that her kiss with Affleck got both of them giggling on the set. Not just that, Affleck behaved like a real brother as he poked her to cover herself.

Cinema noted –

“He was like, ‘Cover yourself up, girl.’ It was really fun. He’s my friend. It was nice because we know each other’s families and boyfriends and girlfriends which made it all cool. The bad part is we were supposed to do these kissing scenes and we would just start giggling like crazy.”
