Darren Kent, who was known for his work in Emilia Clarke’s Game of Thrones, passed away on August 11. The esteemed and dedicated actor left for his heavenly abode at 36, as per USA Today. He was an immensely talented actor, director, and writer, playing several roles in numerous famous sci-fi projects in his career. He was also part of Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves, Blood Drive, The Frankenstein Chronicles, etc.
The British actor shared the screen with famous actors like Charlize Theron, Emilia Clarke, and more. The actor was battling severe health complications for some time.
Emilia Clarke’s co-star Darren Kent passed away at 36
The Snow White and the Huntsman actor breathed his last on August 11, after a long battle with numerous health issues. The actor suffered from osteoporosis and arthritis. He also had a rare skin disease, which had developed in the early years of his career.
The news about the demise of the actor was revealed by his agency Carey Dodd Associates. They posted the statement on Twitter on 15 August,
“It is with deep sadness we have to tell you that our dear friend and client Darren Kent passed away peacefully on Friday. His parents and best friend are by his side. Our thoughts and love are with his family in this difficult time. RIP my friend.”
Darren Kent was popular for his roles in Sunnyboy, Mirrors, The Little Stranger, and many more. He became popular with his role in the famous show, Game of Thrones, in which he played Goatherd. He also played a prominent role in Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron’s Snow White and the Huntsman, released in 2012.

Game of Thrones was created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. It became one of the classic shows ever aired on television screens. The show was adapted from A Song of Ice and Fire, a series of fantasy novels by George R. R. Martin. The show had a massive cast with famous names like Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Pedro Pascal, Sophie Turner, and others.
In the show, actor Darren Kent did a cameo in season 4 for the episode titled, Children. It was the final episode of the season, and in the scene, Kent shared the screen with Emilia Clarke. In the scene, he appeared in front of the mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen. He was seen carrying the charred body of his 3-year-old daughter, Zalla. He showed the body to Khaleesi as he shared what her dragon had done to his child. The grieving goatherd spoke to her in his native language. He said,
“He came from the sky. The black one. The winged shadow. He came from that sky and… my girl. My little girl.”
The scene was created to show to the queen, the destruction done by her untrained dragons, on the people.
Darren received acclaim and appreciation for his acting.
He also won the Best Actor Award at the 2012 Van d`Or Independent Film Awards for his role of Danny in Sunnyboy.
