The internet has broken with the latest announcement of David Corenswet’s casting as the new Superman. Nicholas Hoult, the iconic actor has had the tough end of luck since he was rejected from portraying Superman or Batman.

With reasons for animosity, fans are excited that Hoult may be able to portray the role of Lex Luthor in the upcoming DCU movie. Having animosity, Nicholas Hoult may just be the perfect fit to fight off against Corenswet in Superman: Legacy.

Back in 2020, The Menu actor was all set to star alongside Tom Cruise in the latter’s magnum opus Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Two. After some time, news broke out that the actor had left the franchise. Talking about his absence from the film, here’s what Hoult had to say.

“Yeah, unfortunately, that was because of Covid and things shutting down for a while. And then productions clashed, so I couldn’t be a part of it anymore.”

Nicholas Hoult was last seen starring alongside Nicolas Cage in the 2023 movie Renfield. With the movie receiving positive reviews, Renfield is available to stream on Peacock Premium in the U.S.
