“Joel blew out his knee. He tore his ACL. Tommy broke ribs, a finger [and] toes. A lot of black eyes. It was intense. We were trying not to act. That was the goal.”

Tom Hardy revealed that he and Joel Edgerton had to take lots of injuries to perfectly portray their characters of MMA fighters. The Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy star shared that Edgerton got pretty broken as he damaged his MCL and little toe. Talking about himself, Hardy shared that he broke his ribs and ligament.
“Joel tore his [MCL], he tore that… and my little toe got broken. I broke my ribs and I tore the ligament in my right hand and then Eric ‘Bad’ Apple had his neck broken… There were some moments.”
The physical demands of the movie, Warrior, were so intense that both the main star cast had themselves banged during the shoots. Despite these major injuries, both the stars were able to deliver a remarkable performance in the movie, which resulted in positive reception from both critics and the audience.
