Being one of the most successful TV shows of all time, the actor stars as Jesse Pinkman alongside Bryan Cranston, who plays Walter White.
The highly critically acclaimed series is known for having quite a lot of violence in it, with it being centered around the world of crime and drugs. A majority of this violence is often portrayed on screen by the actors themselves rather than stunt doubles to give the show more of an authentic feel. Sometimes, things can go wrong during these scenes and actors can actually get hurt. This is what happened to Paul, who ended up in the hospital after an incident like this.
Aaron Paul Got Hurt On The Set Of Breaking Bad
Staged violence is a very common phenomenon in cinema, with a lot going into making sure fake fights look as real as possible. Sometimes, however, these scenes can go wrong and actors can get actually hurt. What can make this a lot worse is the fact that a lot of the time, the cast and crew do not realize something has gone wrong until after the scene is over, confusing their panic and cries for help as good acting.
This is what happened to Aaron Paul on the set of Breaking Bad when, during a fake fight, the actor actually got hurt. The scene in question required the actor to be thrown into a door and then beaten up. Things, however, went horribly wrong and resulted in the actor being hospitalized.
No One Knew What Was Happening
While filming this scene, Aaron Paul ended up getting stuck in an odd position, resulting in him actually getting kicked and hurt rather than it being fake. Making this worse, no one on set realized what was happening even though the actor yelled out for help a number of times, asking them to stop the scene as he had actually gotten hurt. They simply thought that he was giving an amazing performance and kept going.
Eventually, they realized what was happening, however, it was too late and Paul was seriously hurt. He was taken the to hospital immediately where he was found to have a concussion and a swollen eye. Though the cast and crew feared that this could lead to something much worse, the actor made a full recovery and went on to shoot the series to completion.
