With everything that has currently been going on in the DC Universe, one thing fans have been looking forward to is the Blue Beetle movie. The movie is set to follow Jaime Reyes in a similar way that Young Justice saw his origin. The movie would show the character learn how to use the powers provided by the alien who bonds with him quite literally.
Starring Xolo Maridueña, the test screening of the movie recently took place and by the looks of it, there are going to be a lot of impressive factors. The DCU has been seeing a shift internally, having a restart and letting go of various actors who believed that their roles had been secure within the franchise. The hype for Blue Beetle might change that completely.
Test Screening For The Blue Beetle Movie Shows Aspects Of Hand To Hand Combat
The movie is to be released by August of 2023 and the production ended earlier in July 2022. The test screening of the movie left fans excited after they learned that the movie will feature brilliant action sequences focusing on hand-to-hand combat. The movie has received a lot of praise and Xolo Maridueña as well as George Lopez is being continuously commended for their performances.
The film is said to satisfy the fans and entertain them to the fullest. The action sequences are unique on their own with a heavy focus on hand-to-hand combat and the movie will see Jaime Reyes adapt to his powers and learn to use them for good. It will see performances of various actors like Bruna Marquezine, Belissa Escobedo, Harvey Guillen, and Susan Sarandon alongside Maridueña and Lopez. The bond between Jaime and his scarab will be explored in the film. Many DCU movies are being canceled altogether out of nowhere but Blue Beetle seems to be going strong and is being highly anticipated for its release in 2023.
Performances In Blue Beetle Are Being Highly Regarded
The two actors who shone brighter than anyone else in the movie were Xolo Maridueña and George Lopez. The fact that Maridueña never auditioned for his role either brings about a strong sense of confidence in the actor and his ability to bring his character to life.
Uncle Rudy has always been an important part of Jaime’s life and the movie too does not shy away from showing just how integral his family is to the protagonist. Lopez has proven in the movie as to how he is perfect for the role.
Blue Beetle will be available to watch in theatres from 18th August 2023.
