Since the release of the new series from the Bleach franchise, it has taken the internet and the fans by storm. The Thousand Year Blood War has not only grasped the viewer’s attention but has gained so much popularity in such a short period. According to the most recent IMDB rankings, the Bleach TYBW anime has surpassed anime titles such as Attack on Titan and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood making it the number 1 anime on IMDb.
With 9.1 ratings and over 27,000 votes, Bleach TYBW has taken the top rank for an anime series on IMDb. The first episode of the anime debuted on October 11, 2022, sending the internet into a frenzy. The anime, produced by Studio Pierrot and directed by Tomohisa Taguchi, earned a fantastic response from fans for its accurate adaptation and magnificent animation quality.
The new series has shown a lot of improvements in terms of animations, power levels of the soul reapers, and the antagonists Quincies. Many new Bankai forms (The final level of their power) have been witnessed in the second part of the series and the fans are loving it. But there are some Bankais that are still not powerful enough to fight the overly powerful Quincies. Let’s take a look at some of the weakest Bankai Users in the series.
1. Kensei Muguruma
Kensei Muguruma captains the Gotei 13’s 9th Division. Before his exile, he was also a captain, and he was reinstated to his old station sometime after the battle with Sosuke Aizen. Mugurama’s Shikai is transformed into two knuckle blades by his blade Tekken Tachikaze, with a metal coat enveloping his arms.
2. Rose
Rojuro Otoribashi, more generally known as Rose, is the captain of the Gotei 13’s 3rd Division. Before his exile, he was also a Captain, and he was reinstated to his old station after the battle against Sosuke Aizen. Rose’s Bankai employs music to create illusions that can inflict physical damage on an opponent once they are stuck within the illusion, but it all depends on the enemy hearing the song.
3. Ikkaku Madarame
Ikkaku Madarame is a lieutenant and former 3rd Seat officer in the Gotei 13’s 11th Division, reporting to Captain Kenpachi Zaraki. His Bankai is made up of two weapons: a Chinese monk’s space and a guandao that are linked by chains to a central part shaped like an axe that floats behind Ikkaku’s back. They have no special skills and are simply three huge blades with limited defensive abilities.
4. Sui-Feng
Sui-Feng is the commander-in-chief of the Onmitsukido and the captain of the Gotei 13’s 2nd Division. Sui-Feng’s bankai is regarded as the worst among the Gotei’s 13 commanders. Her Bankai only serves as a missile, as it transforms her right arm into a gold rocket launcher. Although it is useful for long-range assaults, it is difficult to use in face-to-face combat.
5. Gin Ichimaru
Gin Ichimaru was the captain of the Gotei 13’s 3rd Division until he betrayed Soul Society with Sosuke Aizen and Kaname Tosen. Izuru Kira was his lieutenant. He previously served as the 5th Division’s lieutenant under Sosuke Aizen and the 3rd Seat of the 5th Division under Shinji Hirako. His Bankai’s sole purpose was to augment his Shikai’s ability to extend his sword at high speeds.
6. Kaname Tosen
Kaname Tosen led the Gotei 13’s 9th Division until he betrayed Soul Society alongside Sosuke Aizen and Gin Ichimaru. He was previously the 5th Seat of the 9th Division under Kensei Muguruma. His Bankai could conjure up a gigantic dome that engulfed both Tosen and his opponent. All of his opponent’s senses are contained within this dome. Although it sounds like a strong and dangerous one, anyone who comes into personal contact with his blade is immune to the Bankai’s powers.
7. Sajin Komamura
Sajin Komamura is a former 7th Division captain. Bankai granted him the ability to summon a massive spectral warrior that would mirror all of his actions to increase the scale and force of his attacks. However, it only appears perilous since any injury inflicted on the warrior would also injure Sajin.
These are the weakest Bankai and their users in the series. Although they may be weak, they have been an interesting part of the show and have helped make Bleach one of the biggest in the world.
