With Charlie Cox reprising his iconic role of Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, fans were excited to see the blind attorney return to television screens. Alongside Charlie Cox was Vincent D’Onofrio, and allegedly Jon Bernthal, but it all seems to be in vain now.

As per a report by THR, it is revealed that the production of Daredevil: Born Again has been put on a temporary hold. Although the series was supposed to debut in the Spring of 2024, the production was paused mid-way as the entire set came to a standstill. Citing the reason as the SAG-AFTRA and the WGA strike, several of the MCU shows faced delays and halting productions which added more pressure on the entertainment giants to give equal pay.

Alongside Charlie Cox’s series, a Black Panther: Wakanda Forever spin-off is also in the works, titled Ironheart. The series is based on the character of Riri Williams introduced in the 2022 movie and was going to connect several dots in the MCU.

Due to the strikes, the show has been removed from the schedule completely as it has finished filming. With post-production of the series left to complete, Ironheart was originally going to be released in 2023 but now the release date has been removed entirely. Fans will surely be disappointed if Daredevil: Born Again faces any more delays.

The original release date of Daredevil: Born Again has been changed to some time in 2024 as fans can only hope for the strike to end and an agreement to be reached.
