Easily one of the biggest releases in years, let alone September. Bethesda’s Starfield has been referred to as, Fallout in space. Expect to be following a compelling story while freely exploring a galaxy of 1000 planets, participating in space battles, joining factions, crafting weapons, building settlements, and loads more. If you are a fan of the western RPG juggernaut’s previous games, Elder Scrolls and Fallout, then expect to put over 100 hours into this game.

Baldurs Gate 3
Release Date: September 6
Developer: Larian Studios
Platforms: PS5
Baldurs Gate 3 has already been breaking headlines with its incredible top-scoring reviews for the PC version. September will see the release of the PS5 edition, bringing a new player base to the game. From the creators of the Divinity games, this single or multiplayer RPG is set in the world Dungeons & Dragons. Create a highly detailed character and follow its rich story and in-depth combat with up to 100 hours of gameplay.
The Crew Motorfest
Release Date: September 14
Developer: Ivory Tower/Ubisoft

At first look, you would think The Crew Motorfest is a new Forza Horizon. Set in an open world based on the Hawaiian island O’ahu, players will be driving around the streets of Honolulu, racing off-road on the slopes of volcanos and drifting around mountainous bends. With over 600 cars you will be able to drive and collect some of your favorite vehicles, show them off to your friends, or compete in 28-player online races to prove you’re the best driver.
Baten Kaitos 1 & 2 HD Remaster
Release Date: September 15th
Developer: Monolith Soft
Platforms: Switch
This is one for the Switch fans. These two classic JRPG games, Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and Baten Kaitos: Origins return in this HD bundle with new graphics and features. Unearth the mysteries of the skies above and reclaim the lost ocean below with a card-based battle system, some incredible gameplay, and memorable music. This is a must-play if you’re a fan of JRPGs like Tales, Last Remnant and Final Fantasy.
Mortal Kombat 1

The fighting fan’s favourite, Mortal Kombat is back with it re-booting the timeline from the previous games. A fresh take on the story, new and classic characters to pick, Kameo characters to aid in fights and of course, an extensive list of brutally detailed fatalities is sure to make this one of the best entries to the series yet.

Lies of Pi
Release Date: September 19th
Developer: NEOWIZ
Platforms: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One & PC
All soulsbournes fans have been keeping an eye on this one for a while. Lies of Pi is inspired by Carlo Collodi’s novel The Adventures of Pinocchio, but don’t expect anything like the Disney adaption. This game will test your limits just like the iSouls games. In this dark fantasy you must learn and adapt your play style and weapons to defeat enemies, uncover secrets of the city’s elites, and choose whether to confront predicaments with the truth or weave lies to overcome them on a journey to find yourself.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
Release Date: September 26th
Developer: CD Projekt Red
Platforms: PS5, Series X/S & PC
Phantom Liberty is the new large expansion to Cyberpunk 2077 that will completely overhaul the original game, while adding extra content like a spy-thriller story, new characters, vehicles, abilities and gear. CD Projekt Red promises to have fixed the majority of the issues from the original release, so this is a must-try for anyone that passed on the game or had a bad experience when it launched.
