Doctor Strange Writer Hints At The Character’s Future
During an interview with Gizmodo, Michael Waldron, the writer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, provided a glimpse into the future of Doctor Strange. He said,
“We knew that we wanted to introduce Clea. She’s Strange’s great love in the comics, and it felt to me like Strange wasn’t at the point at the start of our movie where he was ready to meet the love of his life. It felt like we had to close the loop with him and Christine Palmer. And so after she gives him her wisdom to not be afraid of loving someone, then it felt like we were right to tease what could be eventually with him and Clea.”
In May 2022, Benedict Cumberbatch left fans with the impression that he was contemplating a hiatus from acting. During an interview, he was asked about his preferred reality if the Multiverse truly existed. He replied, “I guess one that’s less busy, maybe… I might be that very soon, which is nice — taking a bit of a break.”
A month later, Benedict Cumberbatch put fans’ worries to rest by expressing his willingness to reprise the role of Doctor Strange for a third installment in the series.
