Everyone knows the friendship Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have. They have been good friends for more than four decades now and even got their big break when they co-starred in School Ties. From sharing bank accounts to living together, the two have witnessed it all together. Well, except for weddings.
Despite Damon being his BBF, Affleck did not invite him to his first wedding to Jennifer Garner. And Affleck has no regrets; interestingly, Damon doesn’t hold a grudge either.
Ben Affleck Has No Regrets Not Inviting Matt Damon To His First Wedding
There is hardly a friendship in Hollywood as amazing as Matt Damon‘s and Ben Affleck‘s. Both actors have been there for each other since their childhood, through all the highs and lows. So, it was surprising when the Justice League star chose not to invite his best friend to his first wedding with now-ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
In Hollywood, where marriages usually don’t last too long, the first weddings are usually the most special. And if you are marrying a second time, like Garner did to Affleck, one might require all the privacy in the world. Since Garner was also expecting their first child at that time, the duo decided to keep everything as lowkey as possible.
Among the guests, there were only two people present, Garner’s Alias co-star Victor Garber and his wife, where Garber also is said to have officiated their marriage. Hence, to keep the press away and ensure privacy, Affleck is said not to have any regrets about not inviting Damon.
Even the Jason Bourne star has no qualms about it,
“Nobody was there. He didn’t want anyone knowing about it – which was a good way to do it.”
While most people expressed shock and dismay over Matt Damon not caring about not being invited, this just proves how strong the friendship is between the two.
Matt Damon’s Relationship With Ben Affleck Is Most Important To Him
No matter what the world says, or whatever speculations and rumors fly about them, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have been going strong. Recently, Damon revealed ever since his father passed away he has started to value relationships more and more, giving his all to make every second count.
“Between Ben and my wife and Gary White … Those are the three most significant partnerships in my life. And all those things are going really well.”
The Martian star stated adding his nonprofit work Gary White to the list. If anything Damon-Affleck’s special friendship is an inspiration to all.
