Top-tier actresses Anne Hathaway and Sandra Bullock are featured together in the popular franchise Ocean’s 8. It was one of the few movies in Hollywood which have an entirely female cast. It was a heist comedy film, directed by Gary Ross and written by Ross and Olivia Milch. It was both a continuation of and a spin-off from George Clooney’s Ocean’s trilogy. The all-women cast of the film led to talks about the ego clash between the stars.
There were rumors about Anne Hathaway’s on-set feud with The Proposal star Sandra Bullock. The Princess Diaries’ fame addressed and cleared the rumors in an interview.

The 40 years old actress played the role of an actress named Daphne Kluger in the film. She worked alongside some of the top names of the time including Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson, and Awkwafina. With so many women in the cast, the rumors of catfights spread like wildfire.
However, The Intern actress dismissed the rumors of on-set catfights and shared that she had admiration for her teammates.
Hathaway shared with Today host Hod Kotb,
“It’s been amazing to watch the way certain members of the media have wanted us to fight each other and the way they wanted there to be competition and catfights, but we were all collaborating—all the time. Now, we’re friends. We genuinely love each other and we’re so there for each other. It’s a beautiful thing.”
Anne Hathaway added,
“That’s actually what female friendship is. That’s what it has been in my life and I don’t know why I thought it couldn’t be that way at work. I guess it is because I was fed this myth. But we all have had an experience that disproved it.”
Ocean’s 8 is a spin-off of Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s franchise, and it starred George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and more.

However, Sandra Bullock and the girls bonded well on the sets. The Bird Box actress shared that they did Kegels together as a bonding activity, and they also had a group chat.
Bullock opened up on the chat group on USA Today,
“Because of all the talk, we’ve disbanded it. As of last night at the dinner table, we had a little funeral for it. We all got very paranoid about being hacked. What if we lost our iPhones? It was time. It was time to say goodbye.”
