The Assassin’s Creed Mirage Story Length has been revealed. And it is not long at all!
Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s Lead Producer, Fabian Salamon, was recently interviewed by YouTuber Julien Chieze and confirmed that the Assassin’s Creed Mirage Story length will see players take on average between 20-24 hours to complete the game. He followed up to say that time increases for the ‘completionists’ with a rough estimate of 25-30 hours and many are looking at this as the franchise returning to form.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage Story length – is a shorter game better?
There has always been promise that the franchise would return to a smaller game and some are considering this a throwback to the older Assassin’s Creed titles. And with a map which only spans a single city, comparisons are being drawn against Assassin’s Creed Unity and Syndicate, which were released back in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
And some fans of the franchise have been critical of the huge adventures the series has been producing of late, claiming that they are ‘overly ambitious’ and leading to players feeling burnt out. From Ancient Greece to exploring the whole of nation of Egypt, players have had to journey near and far in recent instalments.
But now as Fabian Salamon revealed, the games are going to be scaled back in terms of storyline, side-missions and the overall map itself. Which Salamon assures is dense with plenty of objectives, (likened to the Paris map in Assassin’s Creed Unity) but it is no way stifling.
There was also a recent reveal about some of the side content for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. It was confirmed that there would be a ‘History of Baghdad’ feature which will take players across the city, helping them learn about the religion, politics and culture of that time period.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be the thirteenth instalment of the franchise when it launches on 12 October and is the successor to 2020’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. And thankfully as we mentioned earlier the Assassin’s Creed Mirage Story length will be more manageable for players to experience 9th Century Baghdad. The game itself will follow Basim Ibn Ishaq, who was first revealed in Valhalla, as he battles against the forces of the Knights Templar.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches for PlayStation, Xbox and Microsoft Windows on October 12 and players who pre-order the title get access to ‘The Forth Thieves’ mission. Which can only refer to Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves of the Arabic folktale. The Deluxe Edition of the title also includes some pretty cool ‘Prince of Persia’ inspired items which include additional weapons and cosmetic items and on top of that, a copy of the game’ soundtrack and a digital artbook. However the ‘Prince of Persia’ pack can also be purchased seperately.
