The rollercoaster that has become Cyberpunk 2077 is set for another new and exciting twist with the upcoming release of the Phantom Liberty expansion. This Idris Elba helmed espionage DLC will be the first and only addition to the story, which has been firmly stated by the developer, CD Projekt Red.
As anticipation for Phantom Liberty continues to build up to a September 27th debut, fans of the game have been looking for ways pass the time. However, while there are veteran players who will certainly be returning to Night City, there are some who have never tried the game.
Given the mixed reception Cyberpunk 2077 received over the years, this is unsurprising. Nevertheless, some users are interested in the title and have been hoping for a way to test out the base version before leaping into the expansion.

If you have been following the up and down history of Cyberpunk 2077, then you know the title has been exposed to a plethora of issues. The game, which released in 2020, premiered with a variety of bugs and glitches that were crashing consoles all around the world.
Critics and every day gamers were furious with the product they purchased, and the title was even removed from the PlayStation store after several users were given refunds.
Phantom Liberty may be the great change that will turn the tide for Cyberpunk 2077, and the fact that a free trial of the base game is available on PS Plus, shows how far the RPG has come.
It started with PlayStation trying to stay as far away from the controversial title as possible, and now Sony wants players to give it a chance. The way Phantom Liberty will accomplish the task of reviving Cyberpunk 2077 is by introducing an exciting storyline to hype up new and old players.
