Although a bit unexpected, this development marks a significant nostalgic moment for both fans and Cage himself, who was originally cast as the Man of Steel in Tim Burton’s ill-fated Superman Lives back in 1998.

Apart from the character of Superman, the franchise also boasts a female Supergirl. Portrayed by Sasha Calle in the upcoming movie The Flash. Having received her seal of approval from the current Superman Henry Cavill, Calle shares a glimpse of her private conversation with him.

When Supergirl received her stamp of approval from Superman

During her conversation with EW, Sasha Calle revealed the details of her conversation with Man of Steel Henry Cavill. Clearly a huge fan of the actor, Calle recalled her encounter with Cavill and said,

“I met him actually after the movie was done, months later. I gave him a big hug. You know, it’s Henry Cavill, man! Our Man of Steel. He is kind and very proper, and it was a great experience.”

Furthermore, the Final Stop actress revealed that she was excited to get Cavill’s feedback on her portrayal of Supergirl. She added,

“I asked him, ‘Did I make you proud, cuz? Does Superman approve? And he was like, ‘Absolutely. You did a phenomenal job.’ I think, to me, that meant the world because it’s Henry Cavill, Man of Steel.”

It’s great to see Calle get the appreciation she hoped for. However, just like The Flash actress, not many could imagine the Superman series without Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel.
