There is no doubt that actress Sydney Sweeney is a highly-talented artist who is capable of portraying various complex characters, however, due to her n*de scenes, she is often labeled as a s*x symbol by trolls. On multiple occasions, the actress has clapped back at her haters explaining that she is not happy with the label.
Once again, the trolls have emerged and pointed out that despite stating that she hates it when people call her a “s*x symbol,” the actress has continued to appear in sensual photoshoots. This has led to several debates on social media over Sweeney’s double standards.
Why do people label Sydney Sweeney as a s*x symbol?
Actress Sydney Sweeney gained worldwide recognition after she played Cassie Howard in HBO’s famous TV series Euphoria. Not just this, Sweeney was also nominated for several prestigious awards for her work as Olivia Mossbacher in The White Lotus.
Her role in Euphoria required Sweeney to film a lot of n*de scenes and that led to people labeling her as a “s*x symbol.” In the past, the actress has stated that she hates it when people think she’s a s*x symbol just because she films n*de scenes. Throughout her career, Sweeney has starred in multiple roles showcasing her remarkable acting skills.
People on social media trolled the actress for her latest photoshoot
Recently, Sweeney appeared on the cover of Variety magazine. People on social media pointed out that the actress continues to pose for sensual photoshoots despite stating that she doesn’t want to be labeled as a s*x symbol.
It is to be noted that Sweeney is not only known for her work in Euphoria. In the past, she has starred in many famous TV shows and movies like Big Time Adolescence, Clementine, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Grey’s Anatomy, and Pretty Little Liars.
Sydney Sweeney says she won’t stop doing s*x scenes
In July, Sweeney appeared for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter and explained that people should understand that she is playing a character and her scenes don’t define her real self,
“People forget that I’m playing a character. They think, ‘Oh, she gets n*ked onscreen, she’s a s*x symbol.’ I have no problems with those scenes, and I won’t stop doing them.”
The actress further highlighted that she hates it when people make certain assumptions about Hollywood stars.
