Nicolas Cage is well known in the film industry, due to his impeccable contribution by working in several films and winning fans’ hearts with projects like Leaving Las Vegas, Adaptation, The Rock, and Face Off among several others. His films in recent years have continued to solidify his cult following and it seems that the actor is yet to charm the fans by returning to the dark world.

He has already given a classic to his fans by working in the 2005 crime drama film, Lord of War. But now, a recent report has confirmed that he is returning to his arms dealer role. However, there’s a slight twist!
Nicolas Cage is Teaming Up With Bill Skarsgård for the Lord of War Sequel

The 59-year-old actor, Nicolas Cage is ready to bring back his classic film, Lord of War but this time, he is sharing the screen with actor, Bill Skarsgård as the duo is going to work in the sequel to the 2005 film titled, Lords of War.
As per the report, the Oscar-winning actor will be reprising the role of illegal arms dealer, Yuri Orlov meanwhile the latter will join him as his son. Director, Andrew Niccol who worked on the first project is reuniting with Cage for the sequel and is super excited to see what the newcomer brings to the film.
He shared,
“There is so much more to explore with these characters. Plato said it best – ‘Only the dead have seen the end of [the] war.'”
He is also excited to work with the father-son duo’s actors in the film as he stated,
“I’m looking forward to spending more time in the company of the charming devil that is Yuri Orlov and now his illegitimate son –– who turns out to not be legitimate in any way.”
While the director is ready to kick off the newly announced film, fans are already showering their opinions about the new sequel that will continue the classic film.
Fans’ Reaction to The Announcement of Lords of War

As per the reports, the sequel will revolve around Cage’s character, who finds out about his son, Anton, played by the Swedish actor, who is not going to stop his father from wrongdoings but is trying to outrun him. This film will be going to show the bitter relationship between the father-son duo who are also at odds over the same woman.

FilmNation Entertainment is going to handle the international sales rights while introducing the film at the Cannes Film Festival meanwhile CAA Media Finance will handle the domestic rights. The film is scheduled to shoot in the autumn of this year.
