Michael Douglas Hints at Exiting MCU After the Ant-Man Trilogy

On the recent red carpet of the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania movie premiere, Michael Douglas had an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. When he was asked how exciting it was to shoot the third Ant-Man movie after 5 years, he replied that he was very excited.
Douglas added that it was a nice experience for him as he already knew most of the actors he was working with when he was asked how exciting it was to shoot the Ant-Man movie after it was 5 years after the sequel. Michael Douglas added that it was very comfortable on the set while filming for the third movie as he already knew the director, Peyton Reed from the previous 2 movies.
“Exciting is the fact of having a comfort factor of knowing each other. You don’t have to go through the formal introductions again and again, you know. You know each other, makes it very comfortable. And Peyton Reed being the same director, so it was a nice experience”

In the same interview, when the reporter asked the Basic Instinct actor if he would return for another Ant-Man movie i.e., the fourth movie for the Ant-Man, he jokingly replied “As long as I can die”. Upon this abrupt reply by the genius Hank Pym, the interviewer was completely baffled as she was not expecting such a reply and without any further questions ended the interview thanking him.

Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang Will Be the Pivot for the Upcoming Phases

The events that will take place in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be the starting of another multiversal war as Jonathan Majors‘ Kang the Conqueror will be introduced as the main antagonist for the upcoming phases. It is rumored that the events in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars will be far bigger than that of Infinity War and Endgame combined. Paul Rudd‘s Scott Lang will play the most important part this time around because he will be the first one to encounter Kang and being an Avenger it becomes his duty to protect the world from any threats, both external and internal.
