Naruto Uzumaki, the protagonist of the popular anime and manga series Naruto is known as the strongest shinobi in the world. Having fought some of the strongest villains and characters in the series, Naruto has grown over time and become immensely powerful to fulfill his dream of becoming the Hokage of Konoha which he finally obtains. There are many characters in the series that are debated by fans to be stronger than Naruto in many aspects. Their power levels and agility makes them some of the strongest character in the series, but even then they could not beat Naruto in a one-on-one fight.
Here are 5 characters who although are extremely powerful, do not stand a chance against Naruto in a one-on-one battle.
1. Hashirama Senju
Hashirama Senju was a member of the famous Senju clan. He was dubbed the “God of Shinobi” for his unrivaled ninja prowess. Hashirama was known as the strongest shinobi of his day and one of the strongest in history, and he was revered as a Shinobi God. His Wood Release skills and massive chakra stores made him a terrifying opponent. While Hashirama was a legendary shinobi, Naruto had surpassed the power of the First Hokage by the time of the Fourth Great Shinobi War and has only grown stronger since then.

2. Tobirama Senju
Tobirama Senju was also a member of the famed Senju clan, which built the first shinobi village, Konohagakure, alongside his elder brother and the Uchiha clan. Tobirama was regarded as one of the most powerful shinobi in history, with even his adversaries praising him. Tobirama’s prowess as Hokage was unrivaled, according to Danzo Shimura. Even though he was the founding member of the Konoha village and the second Hokage, he would not stand a chance against a one-on-one battle with Naruto.
3. Madara Uchiha
Madara Uchiha was the legendary Uchiha Clan commander. Madara was one of history’s most formidable shinobi, known as the strongest Uchiha during his lifetime and for decades after his death. He was the only one who could contend with Hashirama Senju, a “God of Shinobi,” and pushed him to his limits. Madara was able to defeat the Five Kage and the Nine-Tailed Beasts on his own at separate times. Madara would be a difficult battle for Naruto, but in Baryon Mode he might be able to defeat the Uchiha clan commander.
4. Sasuke Uchiha
Sasuke Uchiha is one of Konohagakure’s few surviving Uchiha clan members. Sasuke is regarded as a natural genius of the Uchiha clan, having graduated from the Academy at the top of his class. After three years of training under Orochimaru, Sasuke is powerful enough to fight and even put pressure on Itachi and the Fourth Raikage. Kurama compares him to the Sage of Six Paths with the Six Paths Chakra, and he was able to help combat Madara, the Ten-Tails’ jinchuriki. However, Naruto in his full mode with the power of Sage of Six Paths and Kurama can defeat Sasuke in a one-on-one battle.
5. Obito Uchiha
Obito Uchiha was a member of Konohagakure’s Uchiha clan. As a late bloomer, Obito drastically increased his powers, leading others to question whether he was Madara. Obito constituted a threat to the Five Great Shinobi Countries as a teenager, having gained control of the Fourth Mizukage and effectively Kirigakure, as well as challenging the Fourth Hokage and nearly destroying Konoha. Obito was one of the strongest foes during the Fourth Great Ninja War, but in a one-on-one battle, he would surely lose to Naruto.
