As the hype for Mortal Kombat 1 continues to elevate, we thought we would continue the trend of guest characters we would love to see in the Mortal Kombat universe. And while this is a bit of a stretch since NetherRealm Studios has a deal with DC Comics, we still love the idea of these 10 Marvel Characters That Can Work in Mortal Kombat. You might even think that Marvel is a little too light to face off against the Mortal Kombat roster, but after these entries, you might think otherwise. Marvel has already kicked Capcom’s ass on multiple occasions, let’s give them a real fight.

Venom kicks off our list of 10 Marvel Characters That Can Work in Mortal Kombat. This deadly Spider-Man foe could use tentacle and tendril attacks, that can be applied to lunge or grab moves. Additionally, he might be able to use his symbiote to create shields or barriers or to absorb or redirect attacks. Overall, Venom’s unique abilities would make him a formidable opponent in the Mortal Kombat universe. We might even get the chance to get the disgusting brutality of Venom through fatalities that have been sorely missing from the films.

Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider would fit perfectly among the creatures in the NetherRealm due to his supernatural powers and abilities. He would likely have a lot of fire-based attacks, including a flaming chain whip and fiery projectiles. Additionally, he might be able to transform into his Ghost Rider form, which would give him increased strength and durability. Ghost Rider’s penance stare, motorcycle, or even a brief visit to Mephisto in Hell could make for some fun fatalities.

Moon Knight

His unique abilities paired with his acrobatic and martial arts-based attacks would be an interesting addition to Mortal Kombat, as well as some sort of crescent-shaped boomerang weapon. Additionally, he might be able to use his lunar-based powers to enhance his strength and agility or to create illusions or distractions. Perhaps even the ability to transform between multiple personalities would create some unique and complex gameplay for players to try. While most characters on this list would use weapons for their fatalities, Moon Knight would simply just need his bare hands.

Blade

Equipped with a swords and variety of sharp weaponry, Blade would likely have a lot of sword-based attacks, as well as some sort of projectile weapons like throwing knives or stakes. Additionally, he might be able to use his vampire-hunting abilities to track and locate his opponents, or to detect hidden traps or hazards. Even a quick grapple move that allows him to drain the blood from his enemies and restore some health could pose as a potential game-changer during gameplay.

Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch’s telekinetic and energy-based attacks, as well as the ability to create illusions or distort reality, would pair very well with some of the kombatants on the roster already. With similar gameplay to Shang Tsung, Ermac, or Quan Chi. Additionally, she might be able to use her reality-warping powers to alter the environment or create hazards for her opponents. I could go on and on about ideas for fatalities, but just go watch the scene in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness when she battles the Illuminati. You’ll get it.

Wolverine

Wolverine isn’t a character that would just work for Mortal Kombat, he was made for the roster. He would likely have a lot of claw-based attacks, as well as some sort of healing factor that would allow him to recover from damage quickly. Additionally, the developers could incorporate some unique gameplay with Logan since the character is knowledgeable in many forms of combat. He doesn’t have to just scratch things, explore his samurai roots like we saw in the film The Wolverine.

Daredevil

Daredevil would be an interesting addition to Mortal Kombat due to his unique fighting style and abilities. He would likely have a lot of acrobatic and martial arts-based attacks, as well as the ability to use his heightened senses to quickly and efficiently dodge or counter incoming attacks. Additionally, he might be able to use his billy clubs to create ranged attacks or to swing around the environment. Daredevil’s fatalities might not be as stylish as some of the others on this list but could be extremely brutal and violent.

The Punisher

The Punisher would likely have a lot of gun-based attacks, as well as some sort of hand-to-hand combat moves. Additionally, he might be able to use his knowledge of tactics and strategy to create traps or to outmaneuver his opponents. Imagine a blend of Erron Black from Mortal Kombat X and Deadshot from Injustice 2, that’s what you would be getting with The Punisher. Throw in some unique fatalities like Rambo in Mortal Kombat 11 and you’ve got a worthy opponent for the kombatants.

Deadpool

Deadpool

Deadpool would likely have a blend of sword-based attacks, as well as some sort of gun-based moves. Additionally, he might be able to use his healing factor to recover from damage quickly. Not to mention the developers could create some of the best dialogue between Wade Wilson and the other fighters. Are you going to tell me you’re not even a little interested in seeing The Merc with the Mouth just roast the hell out of Raiden or Goro?

Thor

Thor

This might be a bit of a stretch, considering he is a core member of the Avengers and Disney might not want to see one of their money-makers dismembering or decapitating people. But Thor would likely have a lot of lightning-based attacks, as well as some sort of hammer-based moves. Additionally, he might be able to use his ability to fly to create aerial attacks or dodge incoming attacks. We have obviously seen Thor go beast mode many times but imagine if this character was able to just cut loose a little. This is why Thor goes on our last entry for 10 Marvel Characters That Can Work in Mortal Kombat
