#SellTheSnyderverseToNetflix, a campaign that has been ongoing by the fans from the moment Zack Snyder stepped away from the DC Universe. The main focus for fans has been to see the Snyderverse succeed in what it established initially within the franchise with the superheroes and the Justice League. This has been a request that has been constantly running since James Gunn sat in the chair of CEO for the franchise.
Zack Snyder at the moment has been promoting the Full Circle event which will focus on replaying some of the director’s best and most successful movies for the fans. He dropped hints here and there about the event, however, now it is in full swing. While promoting the event, he finally addressed the situation of the Snyderverse and where it stood in terms of rights.
Zack Snyder Talked About Selling The Snyderverse
Zack Snyder opened up about what he feels about #SellTheSnyderverseToNetflix and whether that is even possible or not. He confirmed that unfortunately, even if he would want to sell the series to Netflix, he has no power over it. Snyder does not have any rights to the characters, namely Henry Cavill’s Superman, Ben Affleck’s Batman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Ray Fisher’s Cyborg, and Ezra Miller’s Flash.
“Warner Bros., as far as this screening event is concerned, have been incredible. This group now is beyond, beyond kind and caring and personal, and they’ve been amazing working with them, so I have no complaints,” he said. “Beyond that, as far as the creative goes and what they’re planning, I honestly have been busy shooting this movie [Rebel Moon]. I have no idea what they’re up to.”
He talked about how amazed Snyder was upon knowing the impact he had on his fans and how something so small could turn into an entire movement of its own. Furthermore, he talked about the upcoming Full Circle event and how excited he was for it and so were his fans.
Zack Snyder And James Gunn Are Quite Fond Of Each Other
Contrary to popular belief, James Gunn and Zack Snyder do not hate each other. Fans have been constantly trying to pit the two against each other but, no attempt has proven to be successful. They only have good things to say about each other and nothing less. They have often complimented each other and praised their works.
“You know James is, look, James is a buddy. I mean James wrote Dawn of the Dead. I don’t know if you’re aware of that.”
Snyder even congratulated Gunn when he first announced that he would be heading the DCU alongside Peter Safran. Gunn even acknowledged his wishes and called Snyder a great person.
