Brad Pitt is among the most influential stars in Hollywood and has worked with several top-notch personalities. He is known for being quite a cool-headed guy who can rarely get angry with someone especially when he is working. But, he once got quite heated up after actor Clint Eastwood’s son did something quite unexpected.
Scott Eastwood, who played a minor role as a soldier, offended both Pitt and Shia LaBeouf when the latter spat on Pitt’s tank which he considered ‘home.’

He shared at the time,
“We were driving down the road, I’m in the turret, Shia is at the other turret, and Scott is on the back, spitting juice. And I’m starting to get pi-sed off, I’m starting to get hot, because this is our home, he’s disrespecting our home, you know?”
Both Pitt and his co-star, Shia LaBeouf felt that Eastwood was being disrespectful, which was how he decided to confront him.
“So I said, in the scene with the cameras rolling, ‘You’re going to clean that sh-t up.’ Shia clocks it, and you have to understand, we’ve been through severe boot camp already, we’ve been through a lot in this tank. Shia saw it and felt the same – he’s disrespecting our home. So Shia had the same reaction I did, and started having some words.”
Initially, it was reported that LaBeouf was the one who first confronted Eastwood, but Pitt clarified it was he who reacted earlier than him. Though things went bad at that time, he knew he needed to sort things out.
Brad Pitt Acted Before Reading The Script!
Given that the actors had developed quite a bond with each other, disrespecting the tanks was what made him act in the first place. However, he, later on, realized his mistake.
“The funny thing is, when we got home at the end of the day and read the script, it said Scotty’s character is ‘chewing tobacco and spitting it on the back of the tank’.”
It was Pitt and LaBeouf who misinterpreted the Suicide Squad star’s actions.
“He was just doing as instructed in the script! So we were the knobs in the end…”
Despite the on-set tension, the trio did their part extremely well as the film received positive reviews from the critics. Having grossed US$211 million worldwide, it is streaming on Starz Apple TV Channel.
