Tom Holland and Zendaya are undoubtedly one of the most successful celebrity couples in the entertainment industry right now. The two witnessed a sharp rise in their popularity in the late 2010s and went on to become a household name.
Holland’s career took off when he got the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the MCU. Zendaya also later joined the universe as MJ. The two have been dating since 2021 but they once stood up against each other in a lip-sync battle. We will leave it up to you to decide who is the winner.
Tom Holland performed Rihanna’s famous song, Umbrella
Zendaya and Tom Holland once participated in a Lip-Sync battle, which was posted by Comedy Central’s YouTube channel in 2017. The two went against each other in the semi-final of the Lip Sync Battle Tournament. Holland lip-synced to Rihanna’s iconic song Umbrella while Zendaya lip-synced to Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic. Holland’s performance left everyone shocked, it’s like the actor waited all his life just for this moment. The actor also performed Nelly’s Ride Wit Me.
The MCU star regrets not dancing in heels
Tom Holland managed to steal the show in a black wig and black tights. He was supposed to wear high heels as well but he refused to wear them, primarily because of the slippery floor. He explained in an interview with People that he regrets it,
“I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t mind being in drag. I said, ‘You want me to dance in the rain and do a front flip? I can’t do that in heels.’ I wish I had now. That would have shut things down.”
Even without heels, he gave an outstanding performance and didn’t leave his fans disappointed. Holland started dancing at a very young age. He reportedly began to take ballet lessons in his garage when he was around 9 years old.
Zendaya performed Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic
Zendaya also gave an equally applauding performance as she lip-synced to Bruno Mars’ famous song, 24K Magic. She also performed Tyrone by Erykah Badu. During Holland’s performance, Zendaya was equally shocked as the audience.
The two celebrities confirmed the dating rumors back in July 2021 after they were spotted kissing in a car in Los Angeles. They participated in the lip-sync battle in 2017 when the two were just fresh actors. Over the years, the two have managed to establish themselves as one of the best artists of this generation.
