Jennifer Lawrence has already made noise by working in the franchises like X-Men and The Hunger Games series which cemented her action-star status in the Hollywood industry. While she is among the A-list stars in the industry, she prefers to keep her life out of the spotlight. Having gone through several media scrutiny, it is not a surprise that she likes to lay low which includes having almost zero media attention on her baby.
While she mostly likes to keep her private life off the curtains, she opened up about experiencing motherhood. She also got candid about what made her worried before she welcomed Cy into her family.
Jennifer Lawrence Found Motherhood a Scary Topic to Talk About!
The 32-year-old actress, Jennifer Lawrence welcomed her first son, Cy whom she shares with her husband, Cooke Maroney in Los Angeles County in February last year. While she remained tight-lipped about disclosing any details of her child including the name and s*x initially, she finally revealed it in Vogue‘s October 2022 cover story.
She opened up about how motherhood was something “scary” for her to talk about as it left different experiences for everyone.
“Only because it’s so different for everybody. If I say, ‘It was amazing from the start,’ some people will think, ‘It wasn’t amazing for me at first,’ and feel bad.”
Given the complexity of motherhood, she was “fortunate” to have people around her who sincerely shared their experiences with her.
“Fortunately I have so many girlfriends who were honest. Who were like, ‘It’s scary. You might not connect right away. You might not fall in love right away.'”
Through her girlfriends’ guidance, she was able to accept the nature of motherhood. She was ready to forgive herself in case she was unable to fall in love with her then-newborn, but the scenario never really happened.
Jennifer Lawrence Accepted Her Child With Abundance of Love!
While she was worried about whether she would be able to shower her baby with immense love and affection, it got instantly resolved after Cy’s arrival.
She shared,
“I remember walking with one of my best friends at, like, nine months, and being like, ‘Everyone keeps saying that I will love my baby more than my cat. But that’s not true. Maybe I’ll love him as much as my cat?'”
She continued how welcoming her son felt “like my whole life had started over.”
She welcomed her baby and instantly fell in love with him.
“Like, Now is day one of my life. I just stared. I was just so in love. I also fell in love with all babies everywhere. Newborns are just so amazing.”
Her son’s arrival brought a whole new world in front of her as she asserted about loving “all babies” who couldn’t help but adore if she hear a baby crying around her.
