With Game of Thrones, HBO left no stone unturned while shelling out as massively as they could. Just the first season took over the world with its impeccable storyline and crisp visuals. The show had a phenomenal run for eight seasons leading up to Jon and Daenerys having their own moments toward the end of season seven.
Every death and every plot twist in the series has been masterfully written with actors showing intense emotions for the story to build up better with every episode. Kit Harington’s Jon Snow and Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen, right from the beginning were shown displaying top-tier leadership qualities with an absolutely formidable character development.
The duo eventually faced off and with their energies putting out the same depth in their characters, they had to come closer. Not knowing they were related, the couple went on to have the most anticipated out of the “many” steamy scenes from the show. While fans were divided about the scene, the off-camera shenanigans tell an entirely different story!
Emilia Clarke Made Kit Harington Extremely Nervous
While the show loved its s*x scenes sprinkled throughout the entire run, the ince*tous element can’t be missed. The ending of the pilot episode was “gross” enough to flip the audience with Jamie and Cersei going all out. We had all become accustomed till we got to see Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington going under the sheets.
While the Eternals star Kit Harington is extremely confident with his acting chops, he got highly uncomfortable filming the s*x scene with Emilia Clarke. The reason it happened is because her brother Bennett Clarke had also been part of the show’s camera department.
While attending the TJH Comic Con recently, she shared how it all happened.
“I do remember the day, our sex scene day, and my brother was in the camera department that day; and he was on set that day. Kit was like, “Mate, you gotta get him out of here!”
Emilia Clarke’s Bare Body Scenes Were ‘Empowering’ For Her
The casting directors hit the bull’s eye by getting 23-year-old Emilia Clarke on board to play the Queen of the Dragons. Although she had no experience with such n*dity prior to being cast in the show, the pilot episode itself opened up the pandora’s box for the audience as they got to witness Daenerys’ own brother getting crafty with her.
While her on-screen chemistry with Jason Momoa’s Khal Drogo was utterly intimidating for the first few times, her character development changed the course of the story.
Although she filmed fewer s*x scenes as the series progressed, the episode when she burned down all the Khal leaders and came out unharmed by the fire, was incredibly “empowering,” according to the 36-year-old actor. The hatched baby dragon sitting on her shoulder while she was covered in ashes just added more fire to the already “hoot-worthy” sequence.
Emilia Clarke is G’iah in the currently running Disney+ series Secret Invasion and will be seen in DC’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom coming December 20, this year.
