Despite the fact that Arnold Schwarzenegger did not make a cameo appearance in his 1987 film, Predator Prequel, Prey, it was a huge hit with fans. Still, the acclaimed actor has proven to be genuinely willing to make quick but entertaining cameo appearances in a variety of movies, despite his enormous celebrity.

With such a strong and recognizable personality, many of his cameos capitalize on Schwarzenegger’s filmography. Others let him show off his underappreciated comedic abilities. Even though they only last for a few seconds, some of the Red Heat actor’s cameos really stand out.

For instance, The Expendables, starring Sylvester Stallone, became a surprise box office success in 2010 and brought in over $224M. Schwarzenegger appeared in the film for a brief time as Trench Mauser, and he even returned for both sequels in a supporting role.

Will Arnold Schwarzenegger be In The Expendables 4?

Even though the cast may be coming back together for The Expendables 4, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Trench will reportedly not be there.

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Sylvester Stallone and Schwarzenegger were the faces of action movies, and they often engaged in competitions to see who could amass the most impressive physique, the biggest paycheck, etc. This could be one of the reasons why, at their height, they never starred in a film together.

Although Schwarzenegger has not stated why he will not be in The Expendables 4, the reason may be found in remarks he made about the third film (The Expendables 3).

In 2017, Stallone took a brief break from filming The Expendables 4, and Schwarzenegger declared he would not continue the franchise without his friend, telling EW that:

“There is no Expendables without Sly.”

The Total Recall actor also believed Trench to be:

“Not playing welldidn’t believe that I had any value in the movie.”
