Natalie Portman on Her N*de Scene in Goya’s Ghosts

The 2006 film Goya’s Ghosts follows Francisco Goya’s muse, who gets arrested by the Church for heresy. Natalie Portman portrayed the painter’s muse Inés Bilbatúa in the film and one of the scenes in the film features a torture scene, where her character is forced to strip.

Talking about the scene during an interview, the Black Swan actress shared that the scene was shot with a body double. She shared, “There’s a long nude shot of a woman, but it’s not me.” Portman also shared that there were some instances where she was “unclothed,” and she feared that it would end up in some inappropriate places.

“You do see some parts of me unclothed, but if they end up in a website making it look like I’m nude, I’m going to be really, really angry.”

The Closer actress said that she had no intention of changing her Hollywood image and only did what the story required. She shared that she was only concerned that the scene which was meant to represent the story should not end up on inappropriate websites.

Natalie Portman Does Not Regret the N*dity in Goya’s Ghosts

During an interview with The Huffington Post, Natalie Portman was asked if she regrets going n*de for the 2006 film. Portman said that she does not regret the decision, but she does not like the idea of misrepresenting the concept by stealing a few scenes from a film.

“I don’t really have regrets. It’s more that I don’t like misappropriation of stuff, like when you create something as part of a story, and then a piece of it ends up on a p*rn site.”

The Annihilation actress shared that she hates when something like that happens and wanted to make sure it did not transpire with her movie as well. She said that all these scenes are meant to be dramatic and represent the story. But the thought of their misuse really makes her angry.
