And he has also said that he doesn’t believe in starving himself to do the same. During an interview with Men’s Health, the Spider-Man: No Way Home actor opened up about one of his friends who once starved himself to lose weight.
Jamie Foxx Doesn’t Believe in the Hollywood Diets
Jamie Foxx is one of the Hollywood stars who have made sure to stay fit in being in shape even after being 50+. And during an interview with Men’s Health, the actor opened up about his diet and routine that allows him to keep himself fit and well for his on-screen performances.
While talking about his diet, the Django Unchained actor said that there is no need for one to starve them to lose weight or keep themselves in shape. He shared that one of his friends once told him that he was fasting and was on a mojito diet to lose weight.
However, Foxx, who believes that diet is everything, did not agree with his friend. The Ray actor told his friend, “Hey, first of all, you can’t starve yourself.” He further advised his friend that they need to eat to keep themselves fit and healthy. He also went on to make clear that he doesn’t believe in or support starving as the only way to be fit.
“I’m not laying any blame, but some of these Hollywood diets where you eat a basket of air and drink a cup of wind? Don’t do that sh*t,” he said before adding, “You need food.” And Foxx shared that he does follow the same, and starts his morning with the biggest meal of the day.
Jamie Foxx Shares What He Eats in a Day
Jamie Foxx not only suggested his friend not to starve himself, but he also follows the same routine. The actor shared that he has a big breakfast that includes egg whites, turkey sausage, a slice of toast, and orange juice. He shared that it’s his first and biggest meal of the day and helps him go throughout the day.
He shared that he has a lunch full of protein that includes Brussels sprouts, bacon, salmon, and rice and has steak and vegetables for dinner. Apart from three meals of the day, Foxx also sacks a lot. He shared that he loves blackberries and fruits and his favorite snack is salt vinegar chips.
However, he also makes sure to burn extra calories with extra workouts. “If I snack a lot, that means I’ve got to go run a lot or workout a lot,” he said. Foxx shared that he does not have a trainer, and has his own workout routine that he follows regularly.
