His latest binge-worthy political drama series Yellowstone has garnered immense success.
Although some of his films haven’t been able to justify his glory, that didn’t stop him. The famous Welsh actor Richar Burton advised him to pursue acting during their surprising encounter on a flight. Following that, his major breakthrough role came to be in 1985’s Silverado in which he plays a notorious cowboy alongside the veteran actor Scott Glenn.
The actor is also quite passionate about co-authoring and financing clean-up machines for oil spills and family-oriented books. However, all these efforts can’t possibly save his personal life.
18 Long Years Of Togetherness Went South
The now-divorced couple first met in 1996 at a golf course while Kevin Costner was in the middle of his film Tin Cup. Their second encounter in 1998 at a restaurant resulted in both of them dating. They tied the knot in 2004 and had three children. However, after 18 years their marriage dissolved due to him being ‘too busy.’
According to his legal representative –
“It is with great sadness that Mr. Costner’s marriage is coming to a dissolution after 18 long years of togetherness due to circumstances that were beyond his control.”
Even after repeated requests from Costner, Baumgartner has not yet vacated his residence. According to her lawyers, she has promised to leave their children the $145,000,000 Santa Barbara estate but demands that he pay for child support. His legal team has clarified that he will help her relocate to a new residence and bear the costs for the same.
Costner’s statement said –
“I’m willing to contribute $30,000 monthly to the child support obligation along with a rental house. Also, Baumgartner will receive a $10,000 advance for her relocation.”
Kevin Costner’s Interesting Personal Life
While studying acting at California State University, he crossed paths with Cindy Silva – best known for appearing in Dances with Wolves and Liteweight back in the 90s. They had three children and after 16 years of their marriage, Silva filed for divorce as Costner had been involved with Michele Amaral, a famous hula dancer.
After that, he briefly dated the famous Rooney Mara’s aunt – Bridget Rooney. They both welcomed his fourth child but eventually parted ways due to unknown reasons. Although some insiders say it happened due to paternity concerns that Rooney had about their son Liam.
His latest film Horizon is in post-production and could arrive later this year.
