"Xbox players do not deserve Starfield": PS5 Players' New Insulting Petition Launches Xbox Users into Warp-Speed as They Unleash Own Campaign

The recent years haven’t been the smoothest for Xbox with recent releases like Redfall failing to deliver, resulting in Xbox CEO Phil Spencer coming forward to admit they’ve lost the console wars. However, with Bethesda’s highly anticipated Starfield a few months away from its launch, there might still be some light at the end of the tunnel, following Bethesda’s impressive track record.

But things aren’t the brightest for PlayStation players, as the upcoming epic Sci-fi RPG is set to be an Xbox console exclusive, which has led some of them to start a protest demanding it to be a PS exclusive.

Fan’s petition for making Starfield a PlayStation exclusive is met with a counter-petition

The recent petition from a fan about making Bethesda’s upcoming game a PlayStation exclusive has become a laughing stock on the Internet. Considering Bethesda’s parent company ZeniMax is now owned by Microsoft, Xbox has no obligation to put their upcoming titles on PlayStation, let alone make it a PS exclusive. But this baffling demand claiming that “Xbox players do not deserve Starfield”, did result in giving rise to a counter-petition, which read,

“This petition is for anyone who believes that the recent petition to make Starfield a PS5 exclusive game is a dumb idea. I noticed that people were signing that petition solely to leave a comment on how against the idea they were, thus unintentionally supporting that petition. This petition provides a forum for those that want to express their views without having to add to the signature numbers of a petition they do not support.”

Although the first petition is currently standing with over 3.5K votes, it isn’t going to change the higher executives’ minds’ at Microsoft. But while responding to the half-witted demand of the first petition, the second one did admit that the title should be made available on PlayStation too.

Fan agreed Starfield should be available for all platform

Apart from calling the idea of making Bethesda’s Starfield a PlayStation exclusive “asinine”, the person writing the counter-petition had a more level-headed explanation. He agreed that the upcoming Bethesda release should be made available to all platforms, as PlayStation players are also adamant about getting their hands on the sci-fi RPG. It reads,

“Now, obviously some PS5 players want to play Starfield. So I also don’t agree with Starfield being an Xbox/PC only game. Bethesda/Microsoft can make more money by making the game available on PS5 as well. So let your voice be heard in a way that does not support a cause you don’t believe in.”
