One of the most significant advantages of Xbox is their live service, the Xbox Game Pass, which provides gamers with a lot of benefits over the months as long as they pay a subscription fee, for awhile this subscription fee has been £12.99 per month for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and provides players with many benefits. Still, due to some changes, the price will be raised in August to £16.99, which has caused a fair bit of concern amongst gamers.

What are the benefits of paying for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has numerous features which can give gamers a lot of options in what they can play and how they play them, which does constitute a hefty price tag. At the moment, if a gamer buys Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, they will gain access to 100’s of titles for free to play on their Xbox, PCs, and even mobiles and even more games are being added all the time from brand new releases from Xbox Game Studios and many other developers.
This isn’t all, as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also gives gamers access to a current beta version of a Cloud Gaming system which helps to give Gamers access to their games on multiple platforms; there are also member-only deals that are given out to gamers, so that they can buy games which are not on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a cheaper price rather than full price.
Another significant addition to the features which are added to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is access to EA Play which gives gamers access to a collection of EA’s best titles and series whilst also giving gamers challenges, rewards and even demos of EA games.

Are these features worth the price increase?
Until this price change comes into effect, there is no way for us to determine whether or not the price change will be worth it, but Xbox has released an email explaining to their subscribers the reasoning behind this increase. The reasoning behind this change is that Xbox wants to bring a lot more content onto Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, like more Xbox Game Studio and Bethesda Game Studio titles on day one releases, even more games on the live service for gamers to access, and even adding games like Starfield and Forza Motorsport.
For many gamers, this may not seem like it’s worth the increase in price, but for some, it will seem appropriate. Even a good decision as it helps them to gain access to a lot more gaming content over the coming years, especially with Xbox expanding it’s Studios; there will be plenty more games for gamers to gain access to day one through Game Pass Ultimate.
