Despite the fact that pro wrestling is known for its epic characters and engaging tales, not all of the rumors that are spread inside the business are totally true. One of these tales surrounds professional wrestler Brian Knobbs, best known as one-half of the tag team known as the Nasty Boys, who is said to have gotten into a fight with Hollywood actor Matt Damon. However, veteran wrestler Booker T recently addressed this rumor and provided some insight into its reality.
The rumor that Knobbs beat up Damon was confirmed as being true by Booker T, and not simply a legend. He claimed that his brother, Stevie Ray, was there as a witness to the altercation, though he could not recall where exactly it happened of the incident.
Brian Knobbs Once Chest Punched Matt Damon
In an episode of his Hall of Fame radio show, Booker T decided to speak about a longstanding rumor involving Matt Damon and Brian Knobbs. As unexpected as it may seem, Booker T stole the chance to talk about it.
Booker T claimed that Damon and Knobbs got into a physical brawl in a pub. Damon was not well known at the time and was probably still quite young, which could have played a role in the incident.
“Knobbs beat him up, that’s a true story, that’s not a legend. Somewhere, I can’t remember where it was … look, I don’t know exactly what happened, but my brother was there. Knobs beat up Matt Damon in a bar. The thing is, they probably didn’t know who Matt Damon was because he was young at the time.”
Even though Booker T stated that he often avoids sharing stories about incidents in which he wasn’t present, in this particular case, he got first-hand information from his brother.
