Jackman is now set to reprise his famous character in the upcoming film Deadpool 3 with Ryan Reynolds and expressed confidence that Wolverine would impress everyone again.

Hugh Jackman has personified his famous character Wolverine in over nine films and has proved that he is the perfect choice for the deadly clawed superhero who was first introduced to audiences in the X-Men films. Jackman’s intense physical performance and charisma ensured that audiences were hooked on his character in every film. The Les Miserables star is now set to revisit his iconic role in Deadpool 3 starring Ryan Reynolds. Speaking of how Wolverine became easier for him to internalize and portray with experience, Jackman said,
“A little part of me now thinks I’d be better at it. Is that arrogance of age or something? Wolverine’s a tortured character — more tortured than me. But I always get the feeling of him being comfortable in his own skin. And I feel more comfortable in my own skin now, even though it’s messier.”
With a first look viral video of both Reynolds and Jackman teasing audiences for what is to come, Deadpool 3 looks all set to rule the box office with two of Hollywood’s biggest stars at the helm.
The Son Was A Cathartic Experience For Hugh Jackman
In 2021, under Covid induced conditions, Hugh Jackman filmed The Son, a story about a workaholic father struggling to take care of his family and a teenage son suffering from a frightening depression. Jackman, whose own father passed away during the filming, revealed that the film hit close to home in many ways. The actor who was brought up by his father in Australia after his mother abandoned the family, confessed that many of the challenges depicted in the film were relatable to his own experiences being a parent and a son.
The X-Men star also elaborated on why the film was a cathartic experience during a tough time when his father was sinking to his death due to Alzheimer’s. Speaking of the work ethic and commitment that he learned from his dad that helped him to push through during his grief, Jackman said,
“My father never missed a day of work. I could feel him. I knew if he could talk to me, he’d be like, ‘You got to go to work! What are you talking about?’ I felt his presence on the set.”
The Oscar nominee expressed his gratitude to his father for his quiet but strong presence in his life and remembered the sacrifices that he made for Jackman and his siblings to ensure that they aimed for the stars.
