With Henry Cavill's Exit Seemingly Dooming the Franchise, The Witcher is Facing Another Bizarre Controversy That Could Get the Game Banned

The Witcher is one of the most popular role-playing games. Not just games, The Witcher has been loved in every form of adaptation, from the books to the popular Netflix show. The Netflix show starring Hollywood star Henry Cavill has become one of the most popular shows on the streaming platform. The game has also been successful, selling millions of copies and receiving positive reviews from gamers and critics.

However, things were not the same with its latest update. The adult theme of the game has caused unwanted controversies for the game, but it looks like the latest update has gone too far with the description of female genitals. And the game developer has finally addressed the issue.

The Witcher’s Controversial Update

Female nudity has always been a topic of conversation among people and gamers. With the 2015 update of the game, it was brought to another level with the impossibly smooth and hairless description of private parts.

The game developers released The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt update in December last year. However, in the latest update of the game, players noted something weirdly new. The update has added some necessary and some unnecessary things in the update. It included ray tracing, DLSS, a 60fps performance mode, and what seems to be a realistic version of va*ina.

A player also shared on Reddit, “My fiancé was taken aback when trying to take a picture in photo mode and noticed a Bruxa had an entire bruxussy.” The players also shared that some of the female characters in the game have “fully formed va*inas and perfectly coiffed pubic hair.”

The detailed versions have also been considered to be a mod in the “fully integrated fan-made mods including 4K textures and models.” However, the developer has deemed it unintentional and has said that they are working on fixing the issue.

CD Projekt Red Says Detailed Private Parts Were Unintentional

When Kotaku reached out to the game developer CD Projekt Red regarding the issue of the detailed private parts in the game, CDRP said that the company has started looking into it. They have also said that the details were added unintentionally.

CDRP said that the “next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt features several community-sourced mods” were not created by them. They said that it would have been added: “on top of numerous enhancements created and implemented by the studio internally.”

“Merging everything together was a complex process and the textures in question are an unintended result present in the release version,” CDRP explained. The developers have said that they are working on fixing the issue. According to Kotaku, however, when asked if va*inas would be removed entirely from the game, they did not receive a clear response.
