IN 2015, Jada Pinkett Smith was cast in the testosterone-filled 2nd installment of the film series Magic Mike. The films follow the life of a regular handyman played by Channing Tatum who moonlights as a stripper at night. Joining Tatum was an impressive lineup of desirable men including Matt Bomer, Adam Rodriguez, and Joe Manganiello to name a few.
Jada Pinkett Smith played the role of a male strip club owner in the 2nd film Magic Mike XXL. The role expectedly required the Madagascar star to be around scantily clothed hot-looking men for most of the film which made her husband Will Smith a tad uncomfortable. Confessing his honest thoughts in The Ellen Degeneres Show when asked about Pinkett Smith’s presence in the film, The Men in Black actor lightheartedly said,
“It’s really interesting. The guys, there were a lot of famous people [in the cast]. Everywhere I go, there’s someone who’s been in their underwear around my wife. It’s just awkward. It’s awkward, Ellen!”
Smith who was filming Focus with Margot Robbie at the same time, said that he was pushed by his wife to get into shape to keep up with Robbie who was then only 23 years old.
