Jason Momoa and Dwayne Johnson, the two big superheroes from the DCU may get to collide in another franchise pretty soon. With Momoa appearing as the antagonist in Fast X, the future of his character Dante Reyes is sure to appear in the upcoming sequels.
Alongside this, the recent peace treaty brokered between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel made it possible for The Rock to join the franchise. A post-credit scene in Fast X could potentially hint at a showdown between Jason Momoa’s Dante and Johnson’s Luke Hobbs in the upcoming sequels!
Will Jason Momoa And Dwayne Johnson Collide Outside The DCU?
Portraying the character of Aquaman and Black Adam respectively in the DCU, Jason Momoa and Dwayne Johnson have been fixated as superheroes for the DC Studios. Both the actors, however, also have one other franchise in common where they could possibly end up beating one another.
The Rock has been known for portraying the character of Luke Hobbs since Fast Five debuted back in 2011. Jason Momoa recently joined the franchise by playing the role of Dante Reyes, a villain that has connections to the messy affair of Fast Five. Since Luke Hobbs indirectly helped Dominic Toretto and his family in stealing the money, Dante Reyes also included Hobbs in his vendetta.
Alongside this, Momoa further regretted that he wasn’t able to drive as many cars compared to the other cast members. In his talks, however, the actor did accidentally let it slip that he will be a part of the upcoming movies.
“My only one maybe like bummer of the whole thing is I didn’t get to drive more, which is gonna change in the next one. That’ll be my massive request, is going like, ‘I would love to go to driving school.’ I would love to go learn that stuff.”
This certainly affirms the fact that we have not seen the end of Dante Reyes or Jason Momoa in the Fast & Furious franchise. A change in the fees for the two DCU actors was observed since the Justice League actor was paid way less for his debut in Fast X than The Rock during his debut in Fast Five!
Jason Momoa Was Paid Way Less Than Dwayne Johnson
With the debut of both actors turning out great for the franchise, Jason Momoa and Dwayne Johnson were indeed paid a hefty fee for their inclusion in the Fast Family. According to recent reports, however, Momoa was paid significantly less amount of money for his debut than what The Rock earned in Fast Five.
As per reported by Animated Times, Jason Momoa was paid $5 million for his debut in Fast X. In comparison, Dwayne Johnson earned a whopping $10 million for his debut in Fast Five! The reasons have not yet been revealed yet. The Fast family showdown of Fast X is currently screening in theaters across the world.
