DCU has some unique ways of promoting and marketing its projects. With the upcoming release of Ezra Miller’s The Flash, DCUs’ plan backfired when they tried to use Henry Cavill’s Superman to promote their upcoming movie, The Flash.
Taking to their social media handles, the official Twitter account of, um…Superman promoted the 2017 Joss Whedon-directed movie Justice League. Also taking a dig at Ezra Miller’s Flash, the tweet stated, “The Flash may be the fastest man alive, but he is not Superman”.
The DCU Tried To Promote The Flash Using Henry Cavill’s Superman!
Ezra Miller had already involved themselves in loads of controversies in these past few years with borderline criminal activities. With such a negative reception, fans had already revolted against The Flash as a way to show the DCU that they cannot keep Ezra Miller in the film without them facing any consequences.
Although the matter subsided, it seems that the DCU has found itself in a new pickle. While trying to promote the upcoming movie The Flash, the DCU used footage of Henry Cavill from the 2017 movie Justice League. As expected, fans rallied for Henry Cavill once again and also showed hatred towards the 2017 movie while supporting the 2021 version, Zack Snyder’s Justice League instead!
The people couldn’t help themselves but start commenting and roasting the film and the DCU. As fans took to the comment sections, the DCU found itself getting roasted (quite literally) for its hilarious promotion.
In hopes of trying to promote The Flash and the 2017 Justice League, the DCU found itself receiving more hatred from the public than before the marketing.
Ezra Miller Walked Down The Red Carpet And Thanked The People
After their earlier statements that stated that they were suffering from complex mental health issues, Ezra Miller did not make any more public appearances. They were seen at the premiere of The Flash as they came on the red carpet and thanked several people for believing in them and giving them a second chance.
As per reports, Miller thanked the director Andy Muschietti, Zack Snyder, David Zaslav, Peter Safran, and James Gunn by stating that he was grateful “for your grace and discernment and care in the context of my life and in bringing this moment to fruition”.
The Flash is slated for a release date of 16th June 2023 in theaters across the U.S.
