Ben Affleck is one of the most well-recognized and talented individuals in Hollywood. He is known, not only for his achievements as an actor but also adored as a filmmaker. He has been part of many successful projects, having made a name for himself through his work in Good Will Hunting, Gone Girl, Deep Water, and Pearl Harbor, as well as his appearance as Batman in the DC Universe, in films such as Batman vs Superman, and Justice League. He has also won an Academy Award twice, first in the category of Best Original Screenplay for the 1997 film, Good Will Hunting, and then winning Best Picture for Argo in 2013.
It is only natural that a celebrity as successful and talented as Affleck would have people think very highly of him. This did not seem to be the case for his daughter, who did not understand why people care about her father.
Ben Affleck Realised He Was Not As Smart As Women Because Of His Children
During an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Ben Affleck talked about his children; talking about realizing the difference between his son and his daughters as they are growing up. The actor stated that before having children, he used to think that he was somewhat equal to women when it came to intellect. This turned out to be quite false after having his son, Samuel.
“I have 2 girls and a boy and I went around my whole life thinking that I was more or less as smart as women. Then I had kids and I couldn’t have been more wrong. My son? He just runs into walls. My daughters, they like, build things like MacGyver and they can all read and my son is like (makes falling noises)” he went on “like he just blows up toys”
The star elaborated, stating that he noticed a key difference between his son and his daughters when they were growing up. He added that while his daughters were learning how to read and build things, his son enjoyed running into walls and blowing up his toys.

This wasn’t the only time that Ben Affleck was humbled by his children as the star was made to question his relevance in media because of one of his daughters. The actor revealed during this interview that he and a few of his friends went to a wax museum together where they encountered a wax statue of him. Upon seeing this, his daughter asked him what it was.
“My daughter came to me the other day after some friends of mine went to this wax museum. I think it was in Vegas and they had like a wax guy of me and she was like ‘dad, what is this?’ and i was like that’s actually a wax dummy of me they do, and she was like ‘Really? Why would anyone care enough about you to make a wax dummy?'” Affleck told.
Thinking that his daughter simply did not know what a wax statue was, Affleck proudly explained that it was a wax dummy that was made of him to honor his achievements. His daughter then went on to state that she did not understand why anyone would care enough about her father to make a wax statue of him.
