Joe Rogan during the podcast said that “Avatar 1 was f**king dope” and speculated on how much better the CGI has become nowadays. Brain Redban, says that he has a friend who works in Hollywood as a CGI artist, got to see the early screening of Avatar: The Way of Water and absolutely hated it as people were bored, walking out of the production.
Joe Rogan then commented that “I think it might be one of those things where you are supposed to hate it, there are some things you are supposed to hate, you know”. He also commented about the first movie, “I loved the first story, I mean it was definitely a derivative story”.
He was also surprised by the fact that Kate Winslet held her breath for over 7 minutes underwater for the shoot. He commented, “They did film a lot of it underwater because they said Kate Winslet held her breath for 7 minutes, she’s really good at holding her breath. I think it’s a mental thing”.
