Although Radcliffe doesn’t mind people putting his character on a pedestal, the actor does have disappointing interactions with his newer fans. Talking about it in an interview, Radcliffe stated that the younger generation doesn’t recognize him anymore and is often disappointed when they meet him in person!

Daniel Radcliffe Gets Disappointing Reactions From People

While discussing inspirations and role models, Daniel Radcliffe had the perfect say to people who had put his character of Harry Potter on a pedestal. In an interview, the actor talked about how his character was the perfect role model for youngsters but the problem was that people put Radcliffe on a pedestal too alongside his character.

Stating that fans of the Harry Potter franchise may have had kids of their own now, Daniel Radcliffe is excited and happy that the newer generation is re-discovering Harry Potter. The Jungle actor stated that the problem that he faces is that he doesn’t look that young anymore so people are oftentimes disappointed when they meet Radcliffe in person!

“A thing has started to happen now where parents who are young enough to have seen the films and have grown up with them have kids of their own now and they introduce them to me. So, I think there’s like, with some kids, an element of disappointment sometimes. Which is rough, actually.”

In more recent news, Max is currently developing a Harry Potter series and Daniel Radcliffe is not that interested in the series. The actor was asked whether he would make a cameo in the upcoming television series or not and Radcliffe did not seem interested much.

It was recently announced that Max (formerly HBO Max) is working on a television series based on the Harry Potter books. According to reports, the series is allegedly a reboot of the iconic franchise, and not many fans are with the idea. Daniel Radcliffe was recently asked whether he would make a cameo in the television series or not and his answer may surprise the people.

“I don’t think so, no. Certainly from everything that I’ve read about the series, they’re starting fresh and would probably be weird to have me pop in…”

Although much hasn’t been known about the television series, fans have already judged the decision since the series has already garnered quite a lot of online hate. As for the Harry Potter franchise, the octology is available to stream on Max in the U.S.
