Kisses between co-stars sometimes seem wholesome and romantic but the behind-the-scenes of a movie are not so much. Recalling a strange kiss, the Moon Knight actor remembered Angelina Jolie and how it wasn’t what he had expected.
According to the actor, his on-screen kiss with Jolie was so amazing that he felt weak. Ethan Hawke, known for his role in several notable movies talked about his kiss with Angelina Jolie and had nothing but praise for the actor. Hawke even stated that the Eternals actress was made to whittle men and make them forget their names!
Angelina Jolie’s Kiss Made Ethan Hawke Forget His Name
As stated earlier, kisses between co-stars can sometimes be memorable or sometimes plain awkward. The former scenario seemed to be the case for Ethan Hawke and Angelina Jolie when they made their appearance in the 2004 movie Taking Lives.
In a 2014 interview, Ethan Hawke who would go on to portray the character of Arthur Harrow in Moon Knight revealed that he felt weak after kissing Jolie. Sitting with Andy Cohen, Hawke admitted that people like Angelina Jolie were made to whittle men and make them forget their names. The actor even went as far as to call it the “best on-screen kiss” he ever had.
“The best on-screen kiss I ever had was Angelina Jolie. Angelina Jolie was born to whittle men and to make them weak when she kisses you. You don’t know your name.”
Not everyone felt that comfortable with the Maleficent actress however since James McAvoy explained that he did not feel comfortable with Jolie when they shared their on-screen kiss.
James McAvoy Shared A Hilarious Kissing Experience
Another actor portraying a superhero had a dissimilar experience with Angelina Jolie when they shared their first on-screen kiss. James McAvoy, known for portraying the role of Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men franchise talked about snogging his co-star in the 2008 movie Wanted.
The actor shared his hilarious experience with the Wanted actress since their kiss was essentially shot on the same day that they had met!
“Yes, we have a big old snog. It was memorable for its awkwardness. It was our first day, and it was like, ‘Hey, how you doing? Are you alright? Yeah?’ ‘Action.’ ‘Oh, no. Here we go.’”
All the kissing aside, Angelina Jolie is rumored to return for the fan-favorite franchise Maleficent. Maleficent 3 is currently in the pre-production stage of development wherein Jolie will reprise her role of…Maleficent.
