Marvel has been wreaking havoc on the big screens for quite some time. With Marvel’s Phase 5 in its infancy, Marvel Studios has been planning for future Phase 6 projects. As per the latest confirmed projects, Marvel’s Phase 6 would be ending with Avengers: Secret Wars, which would be hitting the big screen on May 1, 2026.

As per the latest set of rumors, it has been reported that Marvel Studio has been thinking about splitting Avengers: Secret Wars into two parts, similar to Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

Avengers: Secret Wars is a highly anticipated movie. The rumored last of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it was announced to be a sequel to Avengers: Kang Dynasty at the San Diego Comic-Con back in 2022. However, as per the latest rumors Marvel Studio might release Secret Wars as a two-movie saga with the second part marking the start of the yet-to-be-announced Phase 7 of the MCU.

While neither the Marvel Studio nor Disney has responded to these rumors till now, fans were quick to post their opinions on Twitter regarding the rumors that first surfaced in February of 2023. Here is what fans have been saying,

Reason Why Marvel Studios Might Split Secret Wars Into Two Parts

Avengers: Secret War is as vast as the multiverse easily. The most important and highly awaited movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many fans have been long-stating that it might require a sequel or else it would end up being too long. Also, the vast storyline would be impossible to be contained in a single movie unless numerous important details are cut-off. To introduce Doctor Doom as the second Antagonist and explain the Kang-centric story better, it makes even more sense to split Secret Wars.

Whether to do justice to the storyline or to maximize their profits, Marvel Studios has reportedly finally realized the need to release Secret Wars in two parts. Whether it would actually be released in two parts or not, we would have to wait a bit more for an official announcement.

For now, Avengers: Secret Wars will hit the screens on May 1, 2026.
