Actor Tom Cruise is a well-known celebrity in the entertainment industry. Apart from his movies, he is also known for his association with the Church of Scientology, an organization that represents and promotes Scientology.
As per multiple reports, Scientology has set certain rules that Tom Cruise has to follow, including not meeting his 17-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, and ex-wife, Nicole Kidman. It was once revealed that Cruise’s kids, Connor Cruise and Isabella Cruise, didn’t invite their mother, Nicole Kidman, to their weddings because Kidman is a “suppressive person” as per the Church of Scientology.

Actor Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman share two kids, Isabella Jane Cruise and Connor Cruise. It was revealed that Kidman was barred from attending her kids’ weddings. In 2019, a source revealed why Kidman didn’t attend her son, Connor’s wedding,
“Tom is behind this and what he wants is as good as law. Tom made the call and Connor followed. Connor worships the ground his father walks on and would never disobey Tom. Tom would never even consider inviting Nicole to Connor’s wedding because she’s considered a ‘suppressive person’ by the Church.”
Kidman was also not present at her daughter, Isabella Cruise’s 2015 wedding. Connor Cruise and Isabella Cruise both follow Scientology just like their father.
Tom Cruise hasn’t met his daughter, Suri Cruise, since 2012
Cruise got married to Katie Holmes in 2006. In the same year, they welcomed their daughter, Suri Cruise. Unfortunately in 2012, the two decided to end their marriage. As a result, the actor’s relationship with his daughter took a hit. A source once revealed,
“Suri does not know her father anymore and she has not spent time with him in a decade. She does not go to see his movies and he has no part in her life.”
17-year-old Suri Cruise is now planning to pursue higher education and Tom Cruise will reportedly pay for everything. At the time of their split, some sources stated that Holmes didn’t want her daughter to follow Scientology and that’s why they ended their marriage.

Tom Cruise’s association with the Church of Scientology
Cruise reportedly became involved with Scientology in the 1980s when he was struggling with dyslexia and was looking for help. He was diagnosed with dyslexia at age 7 and the Church of Scientology claims to have programs and techniques that can help people overcome various personal and psychological problems, including dyslexia. Ultimately, Cruise was able to overcome his disability.
As a result, he has credited religion with helping him overcome his personal struggles and achieve success in his career. He has also been a prominent advocate for the Church of Scientology. He has been very vocal about his beliefs and has defended the organization against criticism.
