Fast and Furious is one of the most popular franchises in Hollywood, which is estimated at a valuation of $1 billion, the film showcases themes such as love for family and friends, and fans love how the characters in the film have always each other’s back, but behind the screens, the cast members don’t have a great bond.
Earlier there were reports but after the feud between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson things got worse, the former WWE champion stopped being in the series after the 8th installment of the franchise. The feud between the two stars is complicated, but Jason Statham feels that Dwayne Johnson was right but he refused to take sides to avoid becoming part of the feud.
What Did Jason Statham Say about the Drama between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel?
During an exclusive interview with People, Jason Statham refused to be a part of the controversy surrounding his co-stars, Dwayne Johnson, and Vin Diesel and kept a neutral stance between his co-stars.
“I stay out of any bickering or any troubles that people have. I have nothing to do with it and I don’t want any part of it. “Look, Dwayne’s hit own man and what he says he’s entitled to say in his own way. And what he wants to say — you’ve got to ask him.”
The Transporter actor had a wonderful experience with the cast and crew members describing his time as “phenomenal.”
“I loved the whole experience of working with that whole crew and the team – and the cast has just been phenomenal.”
Jason Statham who appeared first in the seventh installment of the series as Deckard Shaw, the actor said he’s “a good friend of Dwayne’s” and he’d “like to keep it that way.” The actor also has a spin-off film with Dwayne Johnson, Hobbs and Shaw, which was a hit at the Box Office that earned $760 million.
How did the Feud Between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson Start?
The controversy started back in 2016 when it was reported that the relationship between Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson was severed, and the Black Adam actor initiated the feud through his social media writing.
“There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. My female costars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male costars, however, are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t.”
But the feud didn’t stop there because in 2021, Dwayne Johnson responded through his Instagram about the private conversation, he had with Diesel.
“I was very surprised by Vin’s recent post. This past June, when Vin and I actually connected not over social media, I told him directly — and privately — that I would not be returning to the franchise. I didn’t like that he brought up his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker’s death. Leave them out of it. We had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding.”
Fans criticized, Vin Diesel after they saw the post by Dwayne Johnson, and they called Diesel “desperate” because, after Johnson’s exit from the franchise, the film lost its charm and failed to perform at the Box Office.
Fast X will release in theatres on 19th May 2023.
