Arnold Schwarzenegger reflects on the inevitable
During an interview with Danny DeVito, Arnold Schwarzenegger touched on the topic of death when asked what’s in the future for them. Even though The Terminator star isn’t afraid of death, it does piss him off, as he believes that nothing will be the same once they are six feet under. Although many people find death peaceful as they tend to believe in the idea of a life beyond it, Schwarzenegger has a more cynical perspective about the subject. While reflecting on the topic if there’s anything after death, the actor explains,
“It reminds me of Howard Stern’s question to me. ‘Tell me, governor, what happens to us when we die?’ I said, ‘Nothing. You’re 6 feet under. Anyone that tells you something else is a f—ing liar. I said, ‘We don’t know what happens with the soul and all this spiritual stuff that I’m not an expert in, but I know that the body as we see each other now, we will never see each other again like that,'”
Despite his anger about the situation, the actor is prepared to face the inevitable when the time comes and once shared advice with his fans and how he wants them to remember him.
Arnold Schwarzenegger expressed how he wants to be remembered
Although coming to grips with mortality can be hard on most of us and it does make Arnold Schwarzenegger angry, however, he is not afraid of it. While reflecting on all of his accomplishments, the actor expressed that he wants to be remembered as an inspiration for his fans and wants them to pick up the work from where he left off. He stated,
“Despite my anger, I don’t want you to feel pissed off on my behalf or even sad when that day comes… I want you to be inspired. I want all of you to pick up wherever I leave off, because God knows, the work won’t be finished.”
Although the actor isn’t afraid to face the inevitable, fans will hope The Terminator star may not have to worry about that for a long time and he keeps on being an inspiration for the next generation.
