John Cena learned to play piano in 125 hours

The Suicide Squad fame muscular hunk is definitely a man of many talents and a real hustler. Despite being an actor and a pro wrestler, he stops at nothing to acquire new skills. His drive to learn new things took him towards learning piano a few years ago. Now, the actor plays the piano like a professional.

As per reports, the actor started learning piano at the age of 40, and he practiced with full dedication. After almost one and a half years, he has mastered the musical instrument.

In an interview with Parade Magazine in 2017, the Vacation Friends actor revealed his technique for learning the complex musical instrument, the piano. Cena shared that he used to dedicate 15 minutes every day from his busy schedule to practicing piano.

Cena shared,

“I tell myself, ‘You can surf the web for 15 minutes or put the time toward a skill.’ What am I gonna learn in 15 minutes? Your first 15 minutes, maybe where the middle C note is. But after about 125 hours, you learn how to play the piano.”

Along with John Cena, some other A-listers are also skilled pianists. The list includes Clint Eastwood, Anthony Hopkins, and Sandra Bullock.

John Cena revealed his reason for taking up learning piano

The Hollywood star John Cena definitely does not believe in wasting time by scrolling on social media platforms. He prefers to use his time productively during the day, which would assist him in enhancing his capabilities. Learning piano has been one such experience for Peacemaker stars.

The ace wrestler could easily wrestle in front of thousands of people in WWE, but the thought of playing piano in front of a room full of people gave him goosebumps. In an interview with MTV, the actor revealed that he had performance anxiety. Cena shared that he would sweat and shiver every time he played a musical instrument in front of an audience.

Hence to overcome his anxiety, he decided to take up piano lessons. He is one of the most popular and highly demanded actors. But despite his busy schedule, he would take-out time between his movie takes to practice daily. He is now an excellent pianist.
